Top 5 Books With Buildings/Vehicles On The Cover
The theme of August is book covers. So far, I’ve done 5 books I love with creatures, plants and food on the cover. This week’s top 5 is all about books with buildings or vehicles. To choose these books, I tend to go to The Storygraph and go back through the books I’ve read to see which covers jump out at me. I’m hoping there might be some really good books that have buildings/vehicles in the background that I can claim count!

Room
Room is a psychological thriller about a boy and his mother who live in a single room. I really enjoyed seeing the action through the young boys POV and thinking about the struggles they would be going through. I also really enjoyed the film!

The Secret Commonwealth
The worlds that Phillip Pullman has created with Lyra throughout His Dark Materials and The Book of Dust trilogies captures my imagination like so few worlds do.

Sarah’s Key
Sarah’s Key tells the story of Sarah, a Jew, who is taken in the Val d’hiv roundup in Paris during WWII. The dual storyline of Sarah’s fate and the modern day journalist investigating France’s role in the Holocaust is moving and brings light to an event that, until recent years, has been somewhat brushed under the carpet of history.

Cockroaches
I love Jo Nesbo and I’m steadily working my way through the Harry Hole series. Cockroaches is the second book in the series and it’s set in Thailand.

The Midnight Library
I personally really enjoyed The Midnight Library. We read it for “books with bookish themes” month with book club. It did divide opinion but I liked the message and it resonated with me.
Which books would you pick for this challenge?
Room is on my list and The Midnight Library I loved! Great choices x
